beini zhou was born in shanghai, china. she attended pudong international school and shanghai jiao tong university, from which she graduated with a bachelor of science in biochemistry and a master of science in biomedical engineering.

before joining artisan partners, beini worked as a research associate in the department of biomedical engineering at columbia university. in her spare time, beini enjoys reading, spending time with her family, traveling, and learning about new things.
beini is a gifted student and tremendously well-rounded. she combines her love of art and science in her own research projects, as well as in her mentoring. beinis passionate nature and unmatched drive brought her to the top of the regional finals at the google science fair, and she continues to work extremely hard to develop an even more successful career. she has a bright future ahead of her, and we are excited to work with her.
